The ongoing Yeezy GAP creative exploration has returned with their latest project announced by Ye himself via a video launch today across social media, made in partnership with Balenciaga and Demna.
First announced in June 2020, Ye’s ongoing creative collaboration with GAP was created to change the way people dress on a larger scale. In mainstream retail spaces selling out is often regarded as a sign of success, but the goal of Ye's vision isn’t to sell out, but to bring beautiful, well designed products to as wide of an audience as possible; making garments which are affordable and accessible to reach as many people as possible, with no boundaries.
Fulfilling a vison to bring Yeezy GAP to the people on a larger scale, for the first time ever this collection will be available to purchase in a physical retail space, with pieces on sale in Gap’s Times Square flagship store from the 20th of July, with the store itself being redesigned to reflect Yeezy GAP Engineered by Balenciaga’s vision of utilitarian design. An important next step and an exciting moment in Yeezy GAP’s legacy, there are also plans to roll out pieces into select GAP stores across the US in the future. “I came to the GAP to bring good quality products to the people at all times"
