Gather Your Ingredients.

To make this delicious chili recipe, you’ll need ground turkey, diced tomatoes, canned beans (kidney or pinto), tomato paste, onion, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, white sugar, salt and pepper. Once you have all these ingredients prepared and ready to go, let's start cooking!

Prep Your Meat and Veggies.

Start off by prepping the meat and vegetables. In a large pot over medium-high heat, brown the ground turkey until it's no longer pink. Once done, scoop out the cooked turkey onto a plate and set aside. Then, in the same pot, add diced tomatoes and sauté them for about five minutes until soft. Add your garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, white sugar, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine all of these flavors together. Finally, add back in the cooked ground turkey and stir again until everything is combined.

Brown the Beef and Sauté the Onion and Garlic.

Once the ground turkey is done cooking, in the same pot add a tablespoon of olive oil and heat it. Then, add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes. Then add in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Finally, stir in the ground beef and brown all together until there’s no more pink visible. Once all of these ingredients are cooked through, turn off the heat and set aside.

Add the Remaining Ingredients and Stir.

Now, add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce and beef broth. Stir until all of the ingredients are combined. Then reduce the heat to low and add in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika and salt. Stir it all together then let it simmer for 20 minutes. Once done it's ready to be served! Garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges if desired. Enjoy!

Cook on Low Heat for At Least 30 Minutes.

To really bring out all the flavors of this chili, it is best cooked on low heat for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the ingredients to combine and marry together and enhance their flavors. Cover the pot with a lid and gently simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally so nothing sticks to the bottom.
