Comprising of performers Omega Sapien, sogumm, bj wnjn, and Mudd the student, producers San Yawn and Unsinkable, video directors Jan' Qui and Leesuho, DJ Abyss, visual artist Chanhee Hong, and writer Henson Hwang, the alt-k-pop collective boasts a diverse range of talents contributing to their unparalleled sound and visual identity.
As they continue to make waves in 2024, Balming Tiger recently shared the music video for “UP!” taken from their recently released debut album “January Never Dies”, following the successful joint release of fan-favourites "Buriburi” and “Pigeon and Plastic” in January, which has accumulated millions of views to date. They are also set to perform at this year's Head In The Clouds festival in NYC this May.
The group's breakthrough at SXSW 2023, where they clinched the Grulke Prize has set the stage for their meteoric rise. Balming Tiger's blend of genres, electrifying energy, and powerful stage presence earned them recognition from Rolling Stone as part of the "Future 25" and accolades from Consequence, Hypebeast, Stereogum, and Vogue, who proclaimed that "Balming Tiger Is Turning K-pop Upside Down," establishing them as one of the most exciting and promising new acts in music today. The group's global impact is evident through their recent world tour, which included stops at Pitchfork London Festival, Iceland Airwaves, and Tyler The Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw at Dodger Stadium.
