The track ‘Made In Britain’ features a sample of Bashy’s 97 year old grandmother Thelma Stanbury. Born in Jamaica, Thelma moved to the UK after the war as part of the Windrush generation.
In celebration of Thelma and her generation, the video for ‘Made In Britain’ follows Bashy and a grandmother figure (played by actress Gaynair Thorpe) out in their West London community, as they visit The Pepper Pot Charity (PPC), a British based charity located in Ladbroke Grove that supports elderly people of African, Caribbean and BME communities within the local area.
The track ‘Made in Britain’ further features the distinctly British-Caribbean soundscape of the album with a sample of ‘Back to Africa’ by legendary British reggae group Aswad
