Beauty School Dropout New video “beautiful waste"

Exploding rock trio Beauty School Dropout have shared their music video for their song of the summer, “beautiful waste,” available to stream now on YouTube and VEVO.

The video premiered yesterday exclusively at AltPress, who raved, "The bouncy cut is catchy as hell, as frontman Colie Hutzler sings of a relationship that’s doomed to fail." The track will be part of the band’s highly-anticipated sophomore full-length album READY TO EAT, scheduled for release on October 13th on pioneering VC label Verswire.

“We wanted to create the modern Stacy’s Mom story,” the band says. “But in this case, Stacy gets pissed off.”

The video comes on the heels of the band’s multiple Lollapalooza performances (touted by Grammy.com and Ones to Watch as one of the top 10 acts to check out on the festival) followed by a fall North American headline tour - dates to be announced soon. BSD have been non-stop road warriors throughout 2023, highlighted by supporting the first leg of Blink 182’s arena tour, opening for Matchbox Twenty in front of 16,000 fans, supporting JXDN on his U.S. tour, UK + European dates with Maggie Lindemann and Stand Atlantic, and Download Fest’s 20 Year Anniversary.

Beauty School Dropout was signed by A&R Mark Hoppus under the new label Verswire with Pete Wentz and Sherry Saeedi, and have been turning heads since 2022. Resurrecting heavy guitar tones, charging drums, and sticky melodies, the band simultaneously stays true to the relatable and timeless emotional lyrics we all love. Their debut album, We Made Plans And God Laughed released last year, has currently garnered over 20 million streams and featured an amazing list of collaborative efforts including the feature of Mark Hoppus in “Almost Famous.” The creation of the album has had the band working with hit-making writers and producers, Andrew Goldstein, Inverness, Slush Puppy, Ryan Follese, Nash Overstreet, and Dan Book, along with game-changing collabs with jxdn, Royal & the Serpent, and others. The album’s title track landed Tune of The Week at BBC1 and “Freak” and “Almost Famous” were supported in Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday. The band has also been recently championed by the likes of Billboard, NME, AltPress, Euphoria, Grammy.com, Sirius, Ones to Watch, & others.

Mark Hoppus says on the band, “I’m always impressed by how hard these guys work, their talent and uncompromising creativity, and their dedication to their fans.”
