The first housemate to be ejected from the Big Brother house was Mark Wright who was evicted on Day 1. He was joined by fellow housemates Pauline Choudry and Rachel Riley who were also evicted on Day 2.
In total, there have been 12 celebrities evicted from the Big Brother House. This includes three former winners, two runners up, one third place winner, and six other contestants.
As of February 2020, the current champion is Emma Willis who was crowned as the winner of the ninth series of Celebrity Big Brother. She beat runner-up Janette Ritchie by just one vote.
The show has been running since 2001 and has featured some of the biggest names in entertainment, politics, sport and business. It has also seen some of the most controversial moments in television history, with contestants being evicted after making racist comments, assaulting fellow housemates, and even dying during the live shows.
This year's series will feature 12 celebrities competing for the £500,000 prize. They'll be living together in the CBB House, where they'll be forced to compete against each other every week. Each celebrity will have to nominate two people to face eviction at the end of the series. The winner will then go head-to-head against another celebrity who was voted off last week.
