Criminal Minds: Evolution

Criminal Minds: Evolution on ParamountPlus marks the long-awaited return of the CBS series Criminal Minds. The first season, consisting of ten episodes, will pick up where the original series left off in 2020, following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Joe Mantegna as Senior Agent David Rossi and Paget Brewster as Head of Unit are among the fan favorites returning for the series' revival. Prentiss, Emilia Unlike the original series, Criminal Minds: Evolution will follow a single case throughout the first season, with the case serving as the team's greatest adversary.

However, despite all of the information released about this revival, particularly about the cast, little is known about the character of Matthew Gray Gubler. Reid, Spencer Due to scheduling conflicts, Matthew Gray Gubler and Daniel Henney were unable to return for the first season of Criminal Minds.

Erica Messer, showrunner, says their desks will remain cluttered and that a return is possible in the future. "Dr. Reid and I believe Matt Simmons' desks are still there, with some material...," Erica Linea TV said. 'For instance, if any of you return, he still has things on his desk that have been there for two years.' So we're definitely experimenting with it. A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez, and Kristen Vangsness round out the main cast of Criminal Minds: Evolution.

Criminal Minds: Evolution feels grittier, more tense, and far more disturbing on the spot. The suspense conveyed in the official trailer, as well as some of the visuals, make this season appear to be inspired by David Fincher.
Zach Gilford's performance as serial killer Elias Voit is already haunting, which is made even more disturbing by the fact that audiences will be watching former Dillon Panthers quarterback Matt Saracen recruit a network of serial killers.

It also appears that Criminal Minds: Evolution will not pull any punches when it comes to the gruesome nature of this case. The trailer alone shows elements reminiscent of the Saw films, which is very intriguing.
