"Have you ever been at a point where you feel your energy being drained, because that was me, I was at a stage where I felt my energy being drained and Cuddy Buddy was me expressing how mentally tired I was. We captured the hook on the first day, but the verses I wanted it to be impactful so I kept coming back to it months after.”
“Cuddy Buddy” features production credits from long-standing collaborators God Colony, industrial hip-hop tastemakers and the brains behind early FLOHIO instrumentals “Fight” and ‘SE16”. The accompanying “Cuddy Buddy” video, shot entirely on film and directed by Petr Simons, is the perfect visual accompaniment. Beautifully cinematic with brooding wide-angle shots setting the scene, the viewer is taken on a surrealist ride, with FLOHIO adorned with a crown of burning candles, exercising her trademark experimental flows amidst haunting forest tree-lines and off-kilter set designs.
