Now exacting their focus on 2022, ahead of their upcoming debut album, Gotts Street Park are once again turning their inspiration to their seamless blend of traditional soul meets contemporary hip hop with new single ‘Lost & Found’ featuring the remarkable vocal talent of Charlotte Dos Santos.
“Lost and found is a song about falling in love and not being able to forget about a person. It's about being in all shades of love” explains Santos. Like a bouncy street lullaby, ‘Lost & Found’ sees Santos’ soaring voice voyage across simmering funkholds of echoing snares, synths and piano. Recorded between Leeds and New York, where Santos was based following the trio's work on her recent record; their new union submerges listeners from its early notes, into another Gotts Street Park experience.
“The instrumental track was from a batch of jams that were recorded during lockdown” mentions Josh. “Charlotte heard the instrumental whilst some of us were working with her on her record last year, we’d been looking for a way to collaborate and this one jumped out as being really well-suited to her.”
The trio comprising of Josh Crocker (bass, production), Tom Henry (keys) and Joe Harris (guitar) have garnered fans and notable acclaim from an impressive catalogue of talent; working with names such as Rejjie Snow, Kali Uchis, Cosima, Yellow Days and underpinning vocals for Chester Watson, Celeste and Rosie Lowe to name a mere few. With new single ‘Lost & Found’ Gotts Street Park continue to establish themselves as a fundamental part of the ever-evolving UK alternative scene.
