2x Grammy Nominee & 2x Latin Grammy Winner Sebastián Yatra Confirmed Host Of Premio Lo Nuestro As Leading Nominee With 10 Nominations
Following a historic year of rise, 2x Latin GRAMMY winner, internationally chart topping, multi-platinum singer, songwriter, composer, video director, and artist Sebastián Yatra debuts his first musical offering of the new year with an electric and upbeat new pop single “Una Noche Sin Pensar” (which translates to “A Night Without Thinking”).
Featuring Spanish it-girl actress Milena Smit, the Joaquin Cambre-directed music video highlights a concept envisioned by Yatra; the pair are seen in a fantasy vision of a whirlwind night reunited in an uninhibited way displaying playful scenes of all that could’ve been.
The cover art for the single is a stunning visual created by Spanish painter Marta de la Fuente, who details the inspiration behind the piece: “I was inspired by an amazing part of the music video where Milena and Sebastián give each other a warm hug in the sea covered by a beautiful neon pink light. A very powerful composition that I managed to perfect with patience, using acrylic paint on a large 100x100 canvas.”
The new year is already shaping up to be an even bigger one for the now 2x Grammy nominee and 2x Latin Grammy winner. He leads the nominations at the 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro, nabbing 10 nominations at the longest-running Latin music award show, including: “Artist Of The Year,” “Song Of The Year,” “Album Of The Year,” “Tour Of The Year,” “Pop - Male Artist Of The Year,” “Pop - Song Of The Year,” “Pop - Collaboration Of The Year,” “Pop-Urban - Song Of The Year,” “Pop/Ballad - Song Of The Year,” and “Pop - Album Of The Year.”
The nominations follow the Oscar short-list recognition for Yatra’s Rita Wilson collaboration, “Til You're Home,” from Tom Hank’s A Man Called Otto. The Colombian-American also performed a duet with Rita Wilson at the MusiCares ‘Person of the Year’ Gala, celebrating his Grammy nomination for the singer-songwriter’s multi-platinum album, “Dharma+.”
Billboard aptly reported, “Sebastián Yatra has been on a winning streak” and NPR ‘Weekend Edition’ continued, “Sebastian Yatra can kind of do it all." Sebastián Yatra wrapped a 78-date Dharma world tour which brought to life his award-winning Dharma album that landed his first two Latin Grammys (for 8x “Tacones Rojos” and 9.9 Billion streamed Dharma), a performance with John Legend, a Grammy nomination, a first American Music Award, and a nomination at the People’s Choice Awards. Yatra’s moving ballad “Dos Oruguitas” from Disney’s Encanto also received an Oscar nomination and he performed the first song in Spanish at the 2022 Academy Awards – watch here! Yatra is a Top 100 most streamed artist with 30 billion streams on Spotify and more than 25 million monthly listeners.
