NFL Network's Mike Garafolo added that the injury questions Allen's status for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Allen suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 20-17 defeat to the New York Jets. Bills fans have been updating social media sites for the past 48 hours hoping for any updates on the quarterback's injury. Rapoport added that it looks like it's an injury that Allen will be "able to handle".

"It's not great. It's not what anyone wants. However it is possible that this could have been much, much worse and we would have been talking about Case Keenum as starting quarterback now."
