Pulling from his experience in collaborating with some of the biggest names in UK Rap, such as Stormzy, Giggs, Mist, and Dave, pioneer and platinum certified producer of track ‘Fashion Week’ feat AJ Tracey; Steel Banglez diversely combines artists of different cultures throughout the duration of ‘One Day It Will All Makes Sense’, unleashing ballads made up of R&B, fused with relaxingly uplifting hints of Afrobeats and Jazz, all openly hiding under the unique vocals of voices from around the globe. This is ever present in the project’s focus track ‘Times’ feat legendary US rapper Nas and Indian musician and producer Sid Sriram, where the balance of heartachingly passionate lyrics, tempered with Nas’ old school Hip Hop, demonstrate Banglez’s ability to elevate musical melodies through the meld of culture and collaboration.
‘One Day It Will All Makes Sense’ follows on from the acclaimed release of ‘Attach’, withBanglez’s late, great, collaborator Sidhu Moose Wala and UK rap heavyweight Fredo. The project opens with ‘Never Let You Go’, a track that features one of India’s biggest musical exports, AP Dhillon and the multi-award winning Nigerian artist Omah Lay. On the track, Banglez shares the spotlight with renowned DJ and producer Marshmello, as the two powerhouse producers combine their distinct styles to create a track that is truly unique. Known for his signature electronic sound, Marshmello’s inclusion on this track brings a fresh, ambient energy, while Banglez’s rich, and culturally influenced production reigns true, underpinned by the vocal artistry of Omah Lay and AP Dhillon.
Meandering throughout the body of the project, Banglez focusses his production sensibilities on the use of Afrobeat, modern instrumental sounds and syncopated beats, as seen in the track ‘Only One’ feat Stefflon Don & Ikka, with Stefflon Don’s heady vocals as a mainstay with additional vocals and co-production by Fred Again…. Similarly, ‘Flowers’ feat Talwiinder & Pheelz illuminates the perfectly placed overlap of genres, intertwined with smooth and untroubled vocals. The project exemplifies Banglez’s acute skill of weaving the East and West, eloquently showcased by the merging of Punjabi and Nigerian influences in his newly released single‘Mohabbat (Love)’ featuring Lojay and Afsana Khan, leaving us with a strong yet soothing symphony, only achievable with a lifetime of knowledge, and careful craftsmanship.
‘One Day It Will All Makes Sense’ features versus from quintessential names in the British Rap scene; Stefflon Don and Fredo, as well as a heartwarmingly hopeful outro track, spoken by the iconic British actor and Rapper Idris Elba in an intimately reassuring monologue of guidance, bringing the project to a thought provoking, sharp finish.
This project marks the next chapter in Banglez’s unwavering production mastery, and serves as a reminder of his musical brilliance. Born and raised in East London, surrounded by a rich tapestry of cultures and histories, Banglez draws inspiration from the musical sounds of Africa, Jamaica, India and beyond, that surrounded him growing up in the capital. Building on these influences, Banglez has infused these cultural soundscapes with the raw, underground energy of UK rap, seamlessly bridging the gap between these two melodic practices. ‘One Day It Will All Make Sense’ is a true reflection of Banglez’s unique ability to fuse intimate authenticity with soulful diversity, a defining hallmark of his unmistakable sound.
