Over the years, there have been many candidates on the well-known television programme X Factor, and regrettably, some of them have died. Simone Battle, a teenage singer and actress who participated in the competition in 2011, was one of the most noteworthy of these participants.
On June 17, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, Simone Battle was born. As a member of the female group G.R.L., which was founded by Robin Antin, the man behind the Pussycat Dolls, she got her start in the entertainment industry. Battle made the decision to submit a solo audition tape to the American X Factor in 2011. She passed the preliminary auditions and was selected to compete in the live performances in the Simon Cowell-mentored Girls category.
She continued to be a favourite participant, though, and her performances were consistently animated and enthusiastic. After singing "Just Be Kind to Me" by The S.O.S. Band, Battle sadly lost the competition during the first week of the live events.
Simone Battle pursued a career in music and acting after being fired from The X Factor. She had many film and television appearances, including one in the comedy series "New Girl." Moreover, she kept performing with the band G.R.L., who had recently inked a record deal with RCA Records.
But, sadly, Simone Battle was discovered dead in her West Hollywood, California, home on September 5, 2014. She had recently turned 25. She committed herself by hanging, which was later proven to be the cause of death.
Several of Simone Battle's friends and supporters voiced their shock and grief at the news of her passing after learning of it. Her former X Factor coach Simon Cowell wrote, "The news that Simone Battle has died away makes me very sad. She was such a fun nice person. It's a terrible loss. Peace be with you, Simone."
For Simone Battle's family, friends, and supporters, her passing was, understandble a tragic loss. She was a world-changing entertainer who was gifted and passionate. Despite the short duration of her appearance on X Factor, many who watched the competition will always remember her passion and vitality.
