The older brother of Billie Eilish is a multi-talented artist who also collaborated on and produced practically all of his sister's songs.
Finneas Baird O'Connell, who was born in 1997, is Billie Eilish's older sibling. After hearing her solo performance, her influence is undeniably audible in Billie's music, and it is possible that in the future it will be established that she is responsible for a significant portion of the girl's success.
His stage name is FINNEAS, and since 2016, he has released a number of solo singles under that name. Surprisingly, these tunes don't really allow for anti-pop experimentation; Billie's production does. The majority of FINNEAS's singles are basically standard pop releases with a hint of improvised glitch soul that lean heavily toward the electronic, but always stay true to the male singer's traditional sound.
Finneas Baird O'Connell is the author, artist, and composer.
In October 2019, he will release Blood Harmony, his debut EP, which was preceded by the song Shelter (which you can listen to above). It should go without saying that there is great buzz surrounding this project since everyone is interested in hearing how Billie Eilish will perform the first prolonged work of the hand that developed her sound. Somewhat like learning how Alan Parsons became involved with the project after learning that he was in charge of the sound design for Dark Side of the Moon.
Apart from the music industry, Finneas O'Connell is well known for his roles in the TV series Aquarius, Modern Family, and Glee. Also, he was in the 2011 awful comedy Bad Teacher. One wonders whether or when we'll get to see young Billie Pirate Baird on television and in movies. We're confident that she wouldn't appear awkward in front of her brother based at least in part on her video clips.
