LOEWE FALL WINTER 2026 SHOW - Humour, levity, and a bright, inclusive spirit

for us, the act of making is, at its core, an expression of joy — an intellectual, process-driven pursuit charged with playfulness. The path taken matters as much as the end result.

“As we began conceptualising our second collection at LOEWE, we were struck by a simple truth: for us, the act of making is, at its core, an expression of joy — an intellectual, process-driven pursuit charged with playfulness. The path taken matters as much as the end result. It is the idea of play as rigorous experimentation and problem-solving, moving between instinct and experience, between a devotion to craft and its endless opportunities for innovation and development, propelled by boundless curiosity.

One key consideration was how this spirit of play might broaden the codes we articulated during our first season at LOEWE. How does the sun-drenched, optimistic physicality of our first season merge with this playful, experimental act of making to become something new — something more nuanced and layered — yet remain profoundly LOEWE?

Humour, levity, and a bright, inclusive spirit — qualities we recognise as intrinsic to LOEWE’s Spanish heritage — led us to the work of Cosima von Bonin, an artist we have long admired and with whom we were fortunate to spend time recently. Her work mirrors many of the ideas we were seeking to articulate and manifest in physical form. Her wry humour cloaks rigorous questioning and critique — a tension between outward levity and a subversive undercurrent. Humour can be revolutionary, at times the most piercing way to deliver a serious message. Through our conversations, the idea emerged for her to create unique art works for the show space. In this way, her sculptures enter into a direct dialogue with the collection, resulting in a free exchange of experimentation, ingenuity, and wit across mediums. More than once we thought of a key tenet in the theory of games and play: “A finite game is played for the purpose of winning, an infinite game for the purpose of continuing the play.” What is fashion but an open field for endless creative play?” Jack & Lazaro
